May I introduce you to Porsche?

But yes, the Eco model was done to increase mpg as its sole purpose and to appeal to the hypermilers on PriusChat (well hypermilers everywhere but back when PriusChat was a more focused forum).

I do use my wiper but it's more of the heavier rain that sees its use (and wet snow I suppose).

To increase aerodynamics, Toyota may remove the wipers on all models for next gen. (if they make the window water-repellent, I'm all for it!)

I thought the reason they did that on the Prime was due to the double bubble rear window. If they were copying the Batmobile they forgot about the front window.

Well the Two Eco/LE Eco also lacks a rear wiper.

Yes, the Prime has the double bubble (dual wave) rear window.

Well technically you swap the NiMH for Li-Ion and it's only a $500 upcharge (so I guess the removal of some items offset the cost of the battery upgrade). You also got 3-dr SKS and automatic headlights over the base Two.
