Weird. I think it was working before but it isn't now. A door lock setting that can open the locks upon shifting to park or me opening my driver's door.

It stopped doing that. I have it set up to but opening the driver's door will not open other doors.

Any ideas? I did recently remove the door panels and reinstall for sound insulation but I think everything is back in place perfectly. Not sure it's related anyway.

I'd be checking for something you did while playing inside the doors - it seems suspicious.

There is a setting where you can have it only unlock the driver's door - for where you're opening regularly in a dodgy neighbourhood - I had that on my last 2 FORDS - sadly it's not available on Aussie PRIUS!!!!

I've never heard of a setting whereby all doors unlock simply by opening the driver's door. But why would you be opening your driver's door without putting in Park first? Maybe you're saying you turn OFF the feature to unlock when shifting to Park, but you still want them to unlock when you open the driver's? Just leave the setting to unlock upon shifting to Park and you get the same effect.

While it might be unlikely, that could be a sign of a failing door lock actuator.
Do all the doors work right when using the manual button on the door or the FOB ?

Well there is a setting in the MFD to change the behavior of the doors locking and unlocking. Were you messing around in the settings there?

I wasn't aware the passenger door had any kind of sensors to being touched. I'll play with it.

Thanks but I specifically only want the doors to open when I open my door, which is a built in feature. Sometimes I shift into park but don't want the doors to all open.

You may not have it on your Model 2. There is a One-Door Smart Key System (SKS) that only has the sensor on the Driver's Door. On higher trim models they include 3-Door SKS: both front doors AND the trunk lid.

Nope. It just started working. Might be related to door panels being removed.

I had another weird one happen a little while ago where after a break-in, the window was being replaced (front passenger) and during the freaking job, my battery died. So they couldn't roll the window back up to finish the job mounting it.

Anyway, after all that was sorted out, I finally had my window up but the widow shut pretty aggressively and it kept forcing itself up into the close. Like even when it was closed, if I pulled on the trigger to close it, it would indeed try to keep shutting. Nobody understood why, but after I got sick of it, I literally held it to keep closing for about ten seconds after it was actually closed and the sensor or whatever must have recalibrated.

So maybe something like this happened when I removed the door panels. Sometimes, maybe, the car just needs to refresh and not in any intuitive way or way we know of.

Wouldn't mess with you guys. I come here to get help and give it if I can.
