An article pointed this out with different words. The underlying total demand hasn't changed much, but has shifted sharply away from institutional and towards retail. The supply side is not able to promptly handle this almost instant shift.

Yep. With the casinos and bars shut down here one guy that owns multiple bars, restaurants and both gas station/convenience stores has been redirecting the t.p. from the closed businesses to his convenience stores. Limit 4 rolls at 69 cents a roll. One of the advantages of living in a tourist destination with only 7,500 permanent residents and at least one big business owner who cares about the people while thinking outside of the box.

The casinos, restaurants, bars, etc. have also been redirecting their food supplies to the local food bank. Things aren't being wasted while the marketplace adapts.

Outdoors-at-home: chicken-raising supplies, gardening gear, patio picnic pool & yardplay stuff.

I wonder about window air conditioners for the folks who used to go to fountains, movies & malls when it got that hot.

Yesterday I made my first super-early outing to the local supermarket (30th in line). I found everything that I needed. I can arrive 2 hours early, but my wife certainly is not up to do it

On my way back from a weekly trash dump at a transfer station, I swang by Walmart and another supermarket in a nearby city. This was the first time I went since they started limiting the number of customers inside at a time. Both stores had lines outside. I decided not to take a chance. We'll have to go without fresh veggies and fruits this week.

They offer curve side pickup here. Hopefully in some other places too.

For Walmart you have to make an appointment with a 1 hour window. There are a very limited number of appointments each day.

Not in the civilized part of the state.
Only the top half of my beloved home state was smushed flat by the glaciers back before climate change.

The southern half of the state is more topographically diverse.
They had DSL when I was growing up there too.....
    No.
    Not Digital Subscriber Lines.....

    Daylight Savings Time! :p

(*) I'm told that as of 2005 all of my beloved Hoosier State now follows DSL....but they still hold elections there and if they lose another season of high school basketball, there's no telling what they'll do!

We follow it here since my man Mitch imposed it, only we call it DST. Or EDT to be all zoney about it.

That applies more to the cartridge ones with rubber seals on the mask.

Best to support them now. All the Chinese places around my parents' have closed.

You realize DSL and DST are two different acronyms.
