This looks like the only retrofit option for adding CarPlay to the OEM Entune 2.0 head unit. I don't want to put down $500 just to return it and pay a 20% restocking fee because it doesn't work well. Looks like they make high quality products and specialize in Toyotas more than most other brands.

I don't want an aftermarket head unit either even though Entune is terrible (I value the stock aesthetics). Has anyone tried this product or am I the guinea pig?

Currently rocking an Alpine Halo9 with the iDatalink Maestro RR, can confirm that everything works great including the speakers and steering wheel controls

Edit: you can order facia kits from AliExpress for about AU$70, I'm currently using this.

I agree. $500 is steep for that . I saw a Ford upgrade for $50, why is Toyota’s so expensive?

Same - I contacted Beat-Sonic and they said it's not compatible with my '19 Prius Limited (with 11.6" display). I also contacted my Toyota dealership yesterday, provided my VIN, and apparently it's not compatible for a CarPlay upgrade either. I sent a message to Naviks, trying to determine if that will work. Has anyone had success w/ Naviks? If so, did you go w/ the mirroring additional option or just the standard option? Wasn't sure if it was worth another $200. I'm about ready to throw my hands up and just purchase some cheesy external CarPlay unit.
