Choosing the "right" tires (again)

    well as far as tire noise, i have 2010 prius and i hear a lot of road noise compare to my civic so its hard to tell about that. I averaged 51- 54MPG in summer and in winter i am averaging 45-47 with 1-2 minute of warmup.

    I recall the name Vredestein from decades ago, I think -- but perhaps not in the USA.

    The highly rated Vredestein Quatrac 5 is definitely available in American through Tire Rack and its affiliated installation shops nationwide in your size. (No, I don't work for either Vredestein or Tire Rack, but my brother loves the hell out of the Quatrac 5's on his performance sedan.)

    Brand means nothing. Read the data. AA440 86V is what is chose. Profile is 50. That's how u choose

    I simply meant that it might have been in another country that I had seen the name. I wasn't doubting their availability in the USA.
