Using the Prius Plug-in PRIMARILY as a hybrid, is it possible/mostly practical?

    Sure, no problem. Bear in mind that the pure electric range is modest. It already comes with a charger cord, you just have to find someplace to plug it in.

    If it has enough EV range for you it should work fine.

    No, its the opposite, a hybrid with a bigger battery, not an electric car with a backup ICE.
