Larger tires also make for safer vehicles and better visibility, which make for a better overall driving experience.
    And?
They just look better on most vehicles....which is why Tesla gives up a few miles of EPA range to avoid the 'Dolphin on Roller-skates" look.

As mentioned above, the Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) pioneered by Priuses can be seen in many of Toyota's platforms so even if the crossed-oval company deletes the Prius brand.....much of its DNA will still remain in vehicles that the market is still interested in.

    Personally?
I do not see myself buying a new Toyota of any flavor.
My CFO and I are actually starting to circle around the idea of buying a new (or new to us) vehicle and if I had my way it would be a 2015 PIP - but my CFO has and will continue to veto that authoritatively.

    Happy Wife.
    Happy Life.

    +1
I'm sorta over face masks anyway....and the T3 looks like it was born with one. ;)

However (comma!) I WILL admit though that it's a fairly well executed design.
The Prius looks like a failed origami experiment.

    Coffee hasn't kicked in: what's a T3?

My bad....I thought that I had included the post from @Prashanta that would have hade it contextually simple to suss out - even in reduced caffeine mode.

    I fixed it....

    Isn't it TM3? lol.

Anyway, funny enough, VW says the larger wheel choices on the ID.3 is because of the battery pack mounted below the car - they needed the car a bit higher to get appropriate ground clearance thus the base wheels are 18" (rising to 20" for the top model).

Gonna be expensive tyre replacement costs! Good thing electricity is (relatively) cheap!

Still likely cheaper than the i3's tires.

I think Europeans drive less annual miles than in the US. That will mitigate the tire cost somewhat.
