i have a 2006 prius with 140k miles got the red triangle of death code po80 (replace traction battery).
looking on youtube there is alot of info on refurbishing the traction battery,
I used a free app called "hybrid assistant" and "hybrid report" which checks the traction battery and gives a printout report of the voltages on the traction battery when you run the prius.
the report said block4 was low .
i removed the traction battery and removed the jumpers on both sides of the battery and measured the voltages
module# 7 was reading 6.5v , all the other modules was reading 7.6v
i will order a refurbished module from ebay.
I have a quad hobby charger and i am cycling all the other modules. (very slow process, probly 2 weeks)
on the first cycle i might get discharge=2500mah charge 3500mah
after 3 cycles I get discharge=3500mah charge=4500mah (module is improving)
my question is, when i am done, i know to balance the modules all the voltages should be the same voltage (approx 7.8v) . using all the data i have on all the modules (latest discharge current) should i pair a module with the highest discharge current with a module with the lowest discharge current?

MANY other threads about this on here.
It likely is TOO LATE for any "reconditioning" work to really help much.

Except for those few folks who like "tinkering", most people don't like having to replace the next failing cell every few months for the next couple of years.

From what I have heard, put the best ones in the middle of the pack?

do you still have the car.
How did it fare after the rebalancing/ module swap.
I did my 05 prius balancing 2 to 3 years ago and worked well for that time. Now have P0A80. Rebalancing again.
A couple are above 6000 mAh. Most are charging to about 5000 mAh.
Wanted to comment on old thread for anyone doing research.
