Good evening I just replaced my coolant valve pump on my 2008 Toyota Prius a couple days ago. Everything seem to be running great and still is no codes or anything. Today when I was sitting at a stop sign I was hearing a loud obnoxious noise. I pulled over and open the hood to hear the pump is making this noise can anybody please tell me what I have done wrong or how to make the noise go away.

That is the sound of a failed coolant control valve.

Right! Brand new from O'Reilly on Wednesday Dorman. It's not throwing codes or anything I just went out there and Rebleed the system. Seems to be a little quieter except when you turn it off that makes a funny noise again but goes away quickly

In your OP you said you replaced the coolant control pump, but the part that has failed is the CCV (coolant control valve).

What you are hearing is the ECM (Engine Control Module) trying to set the valve into the position it wants and the valve is not responding correctly. It tries several times then gives up.

It is not unheard of for aftermarket parts for this area to not work properly or plain outright fail. we recommend using OEM parts for the CCV, ICWP (inverter coolant water pump), the CHRS (coolant heat recovery system) water pump, and the CHRS temperature sensor.

    YMMV.
