I added a aftermarket radio in order to get Apple Car Play. The unit works great but I have one big problem. If the sun is out it's impossible to see the screen. The sun doesn't even have to be directly on the screen! Tried adding a glare guard but that didn't help. So I'm looking for some suggestions for other aftermarket radios some of you might be using that don't have this issue. Thanks in advance!

Are you using polarised sunglasses by any chance?

Where the unit is installed? In the slot below MFD? Can we see a picture?

Maybe it's the screen itself. I had a sony with carplay in my gen 2 and didn't have any major issues with glare. The mounting brackets did have some leeway for positioning so I would give that a try first. Yes, that involves removing the deck. Again.

That's what I was thinking. I wish I had driven it before I put it all back together. Thanks

How did you solve this problem? Changing the angle of the screen? What Head Unit did you go with?
