2005 fob programming question

    So is there any way to do a “do it yourself” fob programming function for the door locks without a Smart key on a gen 2 Prius? Looking to add a second spare working fob. Purchased a new factory Toyota fob years back and was able to program it to start the car but could never get it to open the car. Searched and searched for this for a non smart Prius.

    There are two steps to the programming

    The first of which you did

    The second is a little more time consuming

    You will probably need to watch this several times

    You will get angry

    You will get frustrated

    It will not be fun

    But it will work assuming that key was new and never programed fully
