    Hi all,
    First post!
I have a used 2005 Toyota Prius owner and I have some issues with the vehicle's Instrument Cluster: Circuit Board which are similar to this person's experience. Since the vehicle is out of warranty, it would cost me $724.84 (before labor I believe) to get it fixed at the dealership in the Tuscaloosa/Birmingham area. I would like to buy the part myself and have someone install it or go somewhere less inexpensive for it. Unfortunately, I cannot go to Texas Speedometer which seems like a great shop for an inexpensive repair.

I also have an issue with the Multi Function display/Radio display in my vehicle where the center is cloudy. I would like to replace that too but it looks like it might cost me $1095. Unlike the speedometer, the dealership says they should be able to replace it with something I can buy online just pay for labor but that might cost a lot as well.

Does anyone have any recommendation for speedometer shops in the Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, or Mississippi area? Alabama preferred. Thanks all for your help!

I know a good Prius mechanic in Gadsden AL if that's in your area. We send him a lot of combo meters so I know he's experienced with the install process. He could probably also help you out with MFD. I recommend shipping it to AutoBeYours in Indiana. They will rebuild it for $300 and it will be like new.

    thank you Texas hybrid batteries!

Is Rory Broome @ Southern Hybrids the one you're talking about in Gadsen? Not too far off from where I'm at in Tuscaloosa and don't mind the drive if it'll save me down more down the road in repairs.
Does Southern Hyrids have a website by any chance (website, facebook, w.e)? Couldn't find it online through a search on google or google maps, and apologizes if it seemed obvious and i just missed it! Thanks again for your help.

Yes, Rory is the mechanic in Gadsden that I was referring to in my first post. He may not have a website for his business. I just know that he's an independent Prius mechanic in that area who is experienced with combo meter replacements.

I had this problem with my 2007 Prius just last month. I purchased a rebuilt cluster from Ebay seller darwell7 for $145. I sent the faulty one back and he credited me $50 back. So I paid $95 for the cluster and had a local mechanic install it for $200. I live in the Cullman Alabama area. It is working like a champ and no issues.
