Most of my efforts have revolved around the ICE and I don't know how productive those efforts have been as the motor still will not crank. The only thing I've charged is the 12v.

I'm guessing the P3000 is generic for HV battery problem. The question I have is whether balancing, charging, or replacing modules makes sense at this point.

Does anyone know if warranties are transferable through Green Bean battery? Probably not since the car was known to have been idle all that time.

It can be transferred 1 time only and must be done online within 7 days of getting the car from the prior owner. Some documentation is required as well when registering. No mileage limit or time limit on warranty.

Yes, but I must say, so far, it's not quite ended happily. I'm quite stubborn so I'm likely to finish it. The last issue appears to be the HV battery and I'm trying to work around a low voltage condition. Battery may need to be reconditioned.

Does anybody live around KCMO that would charge and balance the modules from my Gen 2 pack? I would pay someone to do that. Or, I could ship them somewhere. I can get the pack out and remove them but I don't have a charger/balancer yet and I don't know what I'm doing in that part of the process. Or, what charger/discharger is recommended.

I'm not sure what a forced charge but I haven't charged the HV Pack.

This shows the suspect battery module indicated by Dr Prius. It still measured 1v or so but a couple of the plastic caps blew off, apparently due to overheating.

Good to know that all those expensive pressure relief valves leading into the collecting tubes and vented outside the car are being safely protected by the module tops blowing off first.

Also, the HV battery tray was bent upward in the middle on the passenger side/end. I could have bent this on removal but do not know for sure. This would significantly reduce the cooling airflow from the plastic duct...maybe by 20 percent. Its easy to see how this would bend, even during battery installation.

    When would they have overheated?

You haven't ran the car since replacing the engine, right?

I don't know when they overheated but I assume it was before I got the car. I don't know whether overheating could happen just by attempting to start the ICE when I heard only clicks from the HV pack. Maybe after the ICE failed, the battery overheated during the previous owner's attempt to get to the dealership? Maybe the car was limping along with one module near death for some time.
