Great community with wonderful information. I have been reading threads but I haven’t seen this problem addressed. I was having difficulties with my 2012 Prius coming on 109k miles roughly. So I took the battery to the nearest neighborhood O’reillys. They charged the battery and it’s coming on now but now the lights in the window switches are blinking. If anyone could help it would be great! Thanks

Disconnect the battery again for a few minutes.

AND.....if that it the original battery from 2012......or is more than 5 years old, replace it.

Just charging a battery will NOT magically bring it back to life for very long.

Blinking window switches usually means the power was out for a bit and the windows forgot where up is.

I think the procedure to re-teach them is even in the owner's manual somewhere, not just the repair manual.

If I remember right it's just a matter of rolling all the way down and back up, but holding the switch in place a few seconds at each end.

Thanks. The battery isn’t the original so I’ll make sure to disconnect it and follow your advice.

Then you'll have to teach the windows where up is again. :)

The "disconnect it again" was just a wild guess.
So unless the battery is OLD, just follow the OTHER better advice.

Okay windows, listen up. When I pull & hold these switches up, you go up. When I push the switches down, you roll down. Any questions windows? No? Okay let's hit the road.
