I've been getting a clunk sound when I stop and start moving the car. It was a bit difficult to record that sound so I jacked up the car and rotated the wheel back and forth. Trying to chase down where this sound might be coming from. These are google drive links to the videos I made of driver and passenger.

That is what I also thought, but I wanted to ask here for a second opinion. Because if it isn't that, it's the transmission I suppose? But a used one of those with decent miles is almost as cheap as two non oem half shafts.

Do these cars even have a flywheel?

    Like, totally!

    Search is our friend.

It's the damper assy that can break then vibrate. Has been posted about a few times at least.

Yeah, you're right. I just assumed because the car was started by the transmission it didn't have one.

You would thing since there is no pressure on the crankshaft pulley it would not go back.
But I guess it would just deteriorate from the heat/cold cycles....

Sounds to me like it’s just the parking pawl inside the gear case. Normal if the car is in park.
