If you have the dealer replace the battery you will receive a credit for your old battery and it comes with a 3 year warranty. I had the Sunnyvale CA dealer replace mine 2007 battery 2 years ago for slightly under $3000 total cost including sales tax. The 3 year warranty was what sold me on the deal.

Yeah I've been reading about doing that. But with the current condition of the car... I just want a year or two tops. But hey who knows if it lasts longer than that we may be forced to paint the car haha.

Well for anyone who is interested I've attached the log from the trip that popped the code again. I've done the calculation per log entry to show the differences between the blocks at the given moment. At the bottom we find that the largest difference was reported at 1.43v... ouch

And by "that code again", you mean P0A93? Because if it is that does not point to the HV battery. If it is the P0A80, then yeah, a discrepancy of 1.2 V (or more) between blocks will pop the P0A80, and if you have a block that is 1.2 V lower/higher than the others, it means there is a dead cell in one of the modules in that block. The only way to fix this is to replace the bad module with another one that is closely matched in capacity to the other 27 modules. This is, of course, a band-aid solution, to repair it properly and reliably you need to replace all the modules with new ones.

Yes I know the module is dead at this point. I've already ordered the 2K1 Diy pack but wanted to see if the car would throw the code one last time.

Well guys there is nothing more exciting then knowing your car is about to just stop at any second and yet still managing to make it home at sub 25mph pissing everyone off behind you for several miles!! Haha but hey she made it home. And I got a new code!! This one says that block 12 is done so looks like I was right to buy that 2K1 pack when I did... Now let's just hope they have one fore me.

So it looks like this may have been a reman at some point. Anyways I confirmed that one cell was over 1v lower. Anyone in the northern California area want to buy all my modules... $200 for the entire stack. I think that's fair.
