I am still on the original suspension at 220k miles. The rear is visibly sagging and the ride is quite harsh.

I don't want to shell out for OEM components because I am realistic in my expectations that this car will only last me another couple of years or maybe till it hits 300.

There are completely assembled coilovers on eBay for only around $250 which are chinese made components. Does anyone have experience with these as I am looking for something cheap to improve my ride quality and rear squat. They don't need to last me another 200k.

I got front and back KYB OEM type from Ebay for 06 Prius for around $300/free shipping. I have front replaced for $300 at local Midas muffler place. So far I am very happy with ride. Planning to get back ones replaced in next week or so for another $300.

I had one other place quote me $800 for both front/back replacement. Looks like labor has gone up after $15/hr wage update in some part of US.

$290 (your eBay link) is EXPENSIVE!

I found and ordered a rear set for $116:

Looks like front is more expensive @ $147

    Total for all 4 = $263

Wow, weirdest thing is if you go to 1A and order the set of 4 together it is actually MORE EXPENSIVE @ total of $270!

So, same company, but $7 cheaper if you order front set separately from rear...?

I put the rear struts on and noticed a nice improvement but I feel as though if I could go back I would spend the extra from Toyota Dealership...thinking they would be slightly better made...

My mechanic (who is extraordinarily cheap) charged me $100 and I watched him change out the rear struts which took him approximately 2 hours...Mostly a bunch of 8 and 10mm bolts to remove some of the interior covering the access area to rear struts...Since he had a cordless ratchet each bolt came out in seconds and it was not a difficult job. The regular shops around here wanted $250.

You could go with KYB to get excellent quality, and a fair price. Probably better quality than OEM Toyota.

$250 was the quote I got from 2 shops for just the rear struts replacement.

It is a 2 hour job but I'm sure the book calls for 2.5 hours and the shops round up to 3 hours @ approximately $80/hour.

My mechanic is really cheap (he charged me $100)....

The other day he said he is looking for work and asked "when are you going to get me a car with a blown motor" (I buy and sell a few cars and sometimes come across cars with bad motors/transmissions)... I said I have a 2008 Town/Country with 3.3L that needs a motor...

And he told me if I bring it to him in the next 2 days he'll swap the motor for $300 LOL..

Is it $300 or $300+six-pack of Miller Lite? $300 sounds too reasonable..

I'm on original suspension with 317,000 miles. I just ordered Megan Racing EZ II coilovers for $715.00 from THMotorsports.com I actually called and talked to Will and he gave a decent price. I did this so I can drop my car down and close the gaps I have in the wheel well

I'd install my kit for free if someone bought my coilovers. I can do the swap quick..

These coils could actually raise a car to OEM height or higher under a load considering they are adjustable and stiffer than stock.

It is time to get "Rear Loaded Strut Assembles" as the mechanic calls them. I have a 2007 Touring Edition and I have found two sets with different connections at the bottom. I would like to know which is the correct version I need for my vehicle Please & Thank You.

Poke your head under your vehicle and look. It will take you like 3 seconds to do it.

What other ones are also decent or better but still not too expensive?
