Sure the cargo light sounds quite problematic... But i still wish i had one. Does anyone know if the wiring is there if you dont have the cargo light option? i can easily fuse it before i start trying to install a led. is the wiring is there behind the panel? i believe the cargo light is supposed to be on the drivers side.

In my C1, the wiring is there. behind the left sidepanel when facing the inside the hatch. I put a led strip to those wires, and the best $15 mod i did.

Right on man i will try and open up the area when i get a chance. do you have a picture of your install? i didnt see it in the linked thread. Did you mount it behind a lens (enclosure)? was it a lens from a higher trim level? or was it just some joe random light strip cover.

I just had the same issue. Stupid me didn't disconnect the socket before replacing the bulb. Now it's dead. Will there be any other issues with me short circuiting the ECU? Or can I just leave it and just get a stick on LED strip? The dome light works fine.
