New to the forum, been trying to diagnose this issue. When I use the remote I hear the relay click but it will not lock or unlock. I tried to unlock/lock using the driver master switch and the passenger side switch same result. Relays click but nothing else. I tried to use the manual but it kind useless unless you have an intelligent tester. The only conclusion I came up with is the actuator on all 4 doors went out. Asking to for a second opinion?

Mine are like that. I just assume that the actuators (which is probably what you report hearing) are probably a little weak and wimpy, and the mechanisms are just old and sticky. One of these days I am likely to pull the interior door panels (which isn't that hard), and clean and lube everything. I'm guessing that will do the trick.

I was told by my daughter and the EX that it never work since they had the car. Now that I have it I want the door locks to work right. I was never involve in purchasing the car.
I am planning to work on one of the rear doors and see if I can get it to work. I will keep you psted

    Probably not.

You need to test some more and watch EACH actuator individually and LISTEN closely.
The system "knows" if all doors successfully lock or not.
When I had one actuator fail, the other 3 would lock but because one did not, then they all would immediately UNLOCK again automatically.

3 of them will probably lock/unlock and the bad one never will move much at all.
I think the bad one on mine also felt different when I tried to lock it manually.

EDIT: Given the age, I suppose that more than one could well be bad.
It is a fairly common failure.....across all models it seems.

Is yours a Gen 1? B/c my Gen 1 seems to be clueless about this. I do know that all of my actuators do at least some work because you can see the manual switches "twitch" a little. And when some lock and some don't the car doesn't seem to notice.

NO. The one it happened on was a '13 C.
Certainly not a gen 1; don't know if the C's even follow the same "upgrade" designations.
Now that I think about it, for it to work the way I described, it probably has to have the "smart key" and the extra security that goes with it.

I look at the lock closely but they do not move or twitch. I don't hear any of the actuators activating that is why I came to my conclusion. I have two actuator on order for the rear doors and will see it the resolve the rear doors, if not, then back to square one. At least I know its not the actuators.

Here is an update. I finally got the actuators. I replace the passenger side rear door actuator and it work. I use the remote and the master switch with no issue. I will replace the driver side rear door actuator tomorrow and see if that works. If it does, then I will order the actuator for the front doors and replace both of them.
