    I currently have a 2015 Volt and a 2015 Prius.
In open disclosure, I have owned 4 Pri, 3 Volts. I love having them both, as they are the "best of both worlds"; for city driving (to and from work, work errands, appointments) basically anything under 50 miles, I drive the Volt for a completely gas-free experience. For highway or any commutes over 50 miles, the Prius wins.

For those that say "I get 1xxmpg in my Prius, that's cute. :D I rank #2 on voltstats. My lifetime average in my volt is around 8,900mpg. My Prius lifetime average is 47.3mpg. lol

I am known amongst my family and friends as the Prius Guy though. I am, and always will be a Prius fanboy. They are fantastic, reliable, workhorse machines. I am not defecting to Tesla, or the Volt, or the Bolt.... for the forseeable future, I will own both.

Why would you prefer the volt over the bolt, when the bolt gets 236 miles to a charge versus 50 something miles for the volt?

it could be the same reason you own a Prime, except his commute requires more range.
