I am going to look at a car, and didn't realize that it is basically punctured on the front bumper. What could have caused this injury to the car? Do you think it could have caused serious damage to the car itself?
Any signs or specific things I should look for?
Any advise is nice, thank you!

Also I am new so sorry if I didn't post this correctly

Forget about the little puncture Whats your plan to replace the hybrid battery because its going to need one now if not real soon.

    Yep.

    Another 225000 mile g2 Prius.

When my G2 was new its was the greatest little car ever for years. Years. They all got a very well deserved rep but now 13 years later there little money pits. Like any other car that old but with the added bonus the expensive time bomb in the trunk and the brake abs too.

Most of the people buying these old used cars don't even own a voltmeter.

Lest we forget the catalytic converter and rampant thievery, or the inevitable oil contamination issues of such.

Gen2 motors are solid. These cars are well built. But the hybrid battery could last many more years or could die tomorrow. That would be your biggest worry. They cost a few thousand dollars to replace. The front bumper is not a concern, nothing in that area to be damaged other then the bumper cover.
