Project EGR cleaning, intake manifold, coolant and others

    I am going to post a series of videos on cleaning EGR. While doing that, might as well clean intake manifold, throttle body and also replace coolant. Also installing oil catch can.

    The reason for draining coolant if it's due is to make the work easier as you do not need to clamp down on the various coolant hoses. No messy dripping of coolant on the engine.

    Ok guys. I have the instant cleaner for the intake and cooler. You HVAC guys will be smacking yourself in the head, but Nu Calgon, evaporator cleaner made my intake and cooler crystal clean after soaking for an hour. For you non HVAC guys, this cleaner is what your AC guy uses to clean your outdoor AC unit. I used NuBrite, the blue stuff mixed 1 part NuBrite/3 parts water; Incredible results; soak, rinse, done. I did use the AC drain pipe cleaner on the egr port. I plugged the pipe inlets with an 11mm socket and 4mil plastic as the sealing force.The cleaner was black and the intake and cooler look like new. I did a second wash, but the solution was still blue. Saved it for the cooler.
