That is not quite true. Toyota says they use a higher grade of Nickel.

If they implemented it as poorly as the pop ups on the MID I am glad to not have another distraction.

    What's a "MID"?

The HUD is great - very clear, I never look at speed etc on the dashboard - plus it's in the distance vision focus of my glasses.

It’s good. Granted I don’t have the speed limit pop up that US owners have but otherwise the speed is large (not quite as large as the MID one but large enough) and the warning info pops up in the HUD as well as the MID. Nav directions in the HUD are nice too. Easy to understand and to follow.

Multi-Information Display - used to differentiate the smaller 4.2” screen from the larger MFD.

no warning pop ups on the HUD? Nor even the brake one? I detest the radar cruise ones.

MID is located beside the speedometer.

Definitely not the RADAR Cruise ones - not sure if the "BRAKE" warning shows - haven't had one for a long time now.

Only a SPEEDO and Battery Level & The Hybrid energy indicator.

Both batteries have the same usable capacity, around 0.5 kWh. Toyota's press release for the AWD-e says the NiMH battery is used instead of lithium for improved performance in cold weather.

Whoops. I guess there should've been a comma there. Warning stuff pops up on the HUD. Not the DRCC ones though (but you can cycle through to it when DRCC is active.. not sure why you'd want to)

On mine, once DRCC is active, you can cycle through the HUD to the part where it shows the distance markers. Not sure why you'd want to since it's a static image AFAIK.
