Hello! Long time reader, first time poster.

After extensive reading, I can’t seem to find the answer to my specific issue...

I recently replaced the case of my fob, with a case from eBay. I have kept the original silver-logo back and key, but the rest of the case is the new one.

I transferred the circuit board, the chip and the (reasonably new) battery across, and the remote lock / unlock works great, the ignition works when the fob is in the slot, however now the SKS function does not work. Tried pressing the ‘key’ button off and on, no dice.

    So:
    1. Ignition works with fob in slot
    2. Remote lock / unlock buttons work
    3. Grab handle unlock / door button lock DOES NOT work
    4. Ignition without fob in slot DOES NOT work.

Any ideas as to what I messed up? Both the HV and 12v battery are working perfectly.

The “Key” button is the SKS disable feature. Press the button in to disable SKS. In the “Out” position SKS is enabled.

is this how you were using the button?

Yes, that is how I was using it. Out for ‘on’.

Just to be clear, all SKS functions were working perfectly before swapping the case out. I only did this because the old case was in tatters.
Is there a way to reset the SKS function? Can it be reprogrammed or reset with any of the ‘chicken dance’ sequences?

I can't really see how or in what way it is possible to mess anything up swapping the case.

Do you have only the one key fob? You would need a second working fob to use the "Chicken Dance" to program any part of the first fob.

It would be interesting to scan the car for immobilizer codes, they do not always trigger any dash lights.

I have the exact same problem and no idea how to solve it. Keyless ignition works but not with key in the ignition.

You do not "have the exact same problem", it is in fact the complete opposite of what the OP has.

In your case, you probably forgot to move over the RFID chip to the new case. Hopefully, you still have the old case so you can correct this.
