Navdy is no more. Seems it had technical problems that the company could not overcome.

After reading reviews about suction cups losing their hold in the summer and not wanting to deal with adhesive on the dashboard, I chose the iOttie Easy One Touch 4 Air Vent Car Mount Phone Holder (http://a.co/d/dbGWFDU). It mounts at the perfect position and doesn't block or interfere with any of the other screens (dash or navigation). And even though the vents are nearly vertical (Prius 4 with Premium Convenience Package), this holder pivots perfectly to have the phone at the right angle. See attached pics.

While reading this thread I came across someone mentioning that putting the mount and phone directly in front of the explosive force of an airbag seems a bad idea. One comment rebutted saying that the phone might get directed down away from the driver.

Any more thoughts about this? Is this an issue to be worried about when placing a phone mount on the side panel window?
