Check the Setup, VIM Select option. It should show 2 options. Be sure correct one is selected.

My copy of Techstream on Windows 10 seems to be working finally. Had a bit of time today to test it out. Jeff- are you able to give a quick guide re: how you got that print out for the HV battery check? Struggling to find it. When I click on the health check it just runs for error codes by the looks of things and just comes back with a blank screen with no data

As I recall, I just clicked on "HV Battery" to see the data, right clicked to "select all" and copied/pasted into notepad so that I could upload the text file.

I helped a computer user recently bypass the driver auto update - It was a Lenovo with hotkeys to brighten and dim the screen. I had to back the driver out to a version for Win7, then disable the updates - all done without internet connection, until after the update disable step. Check the "how to geek" website for "block updates and drivers on windows 10" (sorry, I'm to new to post a link)

    hope this helps.

Don't expect to do any kind of computer flashing with those cheap counterfeit cable's as you can protentionaly brick all the computers in your car. You get what you pay for using pirated junk from Chinese scammers.

TechStream Lite with the Mongoose Pro cable only cost $495 from Drew Technologies compared to the full TechStream that comes with a Toughbook that cost $5,799. You need a TIS subscription to have access to calibration files and firmware images anyway to do any type of ECU, body control module programming.

By "body control module programming", do you mean the tweaking of the car's customizable behaviors like reverse beep or unlock on park? Techstream can happily do all that stuff without phoning home. Now, anything that involves actually flashing new firmware, yes, that would be a different story.

Yes, if you search this Forum you’ll find posts about it.
From what I recall, it’s not too difficult as long as it’s truly a new key. But if it’s a key that’s been used in already in a different Prius, it’s either impossible or very complicated.

I did. I bought an unlocked fob on eBay for about $100. It worked like it was new.

I helped a member out here (as well as a coworker) pair a new key to their Gen3 using version 10.30.028 and it worked well:).

About a 3 minute activity if you know where the menus are(y).

I am looking for the cable and the software for my windows 10 on eBay. Do you have the links for these items and the instructions to install in windows 10. Is this better than having a locksmith program the fob or is this the same thing a locksmith uses?

I watched this guy erase and program a new key. How does the system know the new key and only erase it and not the old key he has taped?

Did you find techstream software and cable that will work on windows 10 or can you just install it in windows 10 and run it in windows 7 compatibility mode?

Can I install techstream in windows 10 and run it in Windows 7 compatibility mode. I do not want to edit my registry to install it?

Great detail and good to know. I just asked the question regarding what is detailed regarding the battery. I'm mainly at the moment wondering what is all detailed in regards to more than the ODBLink SX USB. Guessing these cheap MiniVCI's can detail the wipers metrics, any verification by anyone and what vers of software used for a 2013?

I don't know about the wipers. What are you wanting to adjust?
I'm running version 8 and it works fine on my 2013.

Basically, wanting to see the wiper circuit metrics if any and not adjust anything for now.

Going by this reply that there is some sort of metric or settings reported:
