Annoying rattle inside Prius V

    I love my used 2016 Prius V except for the its interior rattle. Many times I thought about trading the car. I was driving recently when I looked in the rear view mirror and saw the larger back seat head rest shaking. The Prius has a smaller seat behind the driver seat and a larger seat behind the passenger seat. I stuffed a towel tightly in between the gap between the backs of the two seats. The annoying interior rattle has stopped!

    I feel that is a design flaw. In most station wagons I have owned, the rear seats lock into a latch. I don’t understand why Toyota left those seats free standing. They shake like crazy and make those annoying sounds. Agree with you. Makes the car sound like it was cheaply made.

    I don't love my car but I have a v and the rear seats have never made a sound or shook and it has over 250,000 miles on it. Get your wheels checked....

    My 8 year old 2012 Prius v doesn't rattle either.
