    Hey there! Looking for some kind of assistance with our 2010 Prius. It has about 135k miles on it, we bought it second hand a few years ago. And we’ve recently had a ton of issues out of it and don’t really know where to turn to or who to trust on the matter, so I’m looking for any kind of recommendations. It’s our second Prius and we really love them, even with these issues would probably purchase another in the future. Buttt here’s the deets;

    There’s possibly a few things going on. Somehow, (probably by running up on a parking barrier) the front end would fall down, because one of the attachment points on the drivers side had broken off. After a few times of just shoving it back up into the car, I actually fixed it and reattached with a new piece where the previously one had broken. Minutes after I do that, I turn the car on and the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree with every possible code imaginable, including the check engine, master warning ⚠️, PCS, check hybrid system. I thought I probably messed up some collision sensor in the front that was just recommending that everything be checked out because the vehicle thought it was in an accident. So, I take it to the Toyota dealership to get it checked out, and of course they are saying all the lights are coming on because 1.) the master cylinder brake booster needs to be replaced 3k and also the hybrid battery is about to die, 6k and that the lights coming on immediately after I reattached the front end was just a coincidence.

    I do notice that the car has a weird ratcheting clicking type sound intermittently while driving and also it seems to rev pretty high while driving sometimes too, but these problems were present before I attached the front end.

    Mostly not sure whether or not to get anything fixed on it or just try to get rid of it. My first thoughts were to fix the brake issue, because of how dangerous the Toyota tech explained it could be and then just wait and see about the hybrid battery issue because it doesn’t seem worth investing another 9k into the car when that’s what we paid for it lol.

    I’m sorry this was so long but I wanted to try to be as detailed as I could. I really appreciate any advice on what I should do.

    There’s no CEL codes from your end so it would be blind troubleshooting at this point.

    Here's the code that's available in Toyota's service note :"LIGHT ON DASH DUE TO P0A80 IN HYBRID SYSTEM"

    Fix the battery or find someone local who repairs hybrid batteries for $500 or so. Get that fixed first and the 'brake problem' may magically clear itself.
