Ok, my 12v battery is dead someone stole my catalytic converter and I have not started this Prius for 4+ months now I am charging the main battery for 6 hours and I’ll jump the car when starting it tomorrow and then I’ll take out the 12v and trickle charge it at 50mA for like a few days hoping I can revive it. See the picture using led psu and RadioShack 13.8v supply you run the blower got the spare cable at junk yard with the connector for the blower. I think 6-7 hours should be enough to get the charge level to like 30-40%

Well, lesson learned I guess. Don't leave your car sit so long and at least go out and start it every two or three weeks or so. Hope everything starts for you and good luck!

I am a little confused by the OP.

    1) Seems the OP is telling us that to charge the Hybrid Battery, the owner found a junk yard connector to charge it up.
(That's idea I like alot. Very nice idea.)
    2) Then they will use another vehicle/ battery to jump start the car.
    3) One the car has run for awhile, then they will tickle charge the 12v battery, in an effort to "save" the 12v battery.

FWIW Sometimes one needs to "fast" charge the 12v to get it to a charge level before a "tickle" charge will work.
Words of wisdom by Kutcht....which I'll echo as, don't let any vehicle sit for months.

Best of luck on the reviving :)

Has the OP looked into the legal replacement costs of the stolen cat before pursuing all other efforts?
