My wife is technically challenged, so it was important that the Prius (now Prime) can be driven like any other car. I handle the charging. I have almost convinced her that she doesn't have to dig the key fob out of her purse when going somewhere in the Prime.

Alot of spouses and girlfriends are not that interested and that's OK. I love my prime but there is one feature I wish was offered on the top trim and that is memory seats. Having memory seats would be really helpful as fitting into the car comfortably seems really important to women. I would pay more for this feature knowing my "other" could get in and be all set. Its really the only feature that the Prius Prime does not have that my luxuries cars have.

Agreed. My wife and I have very different seating positions. Our 2019 Rav4 hybrid has memory seats that we are very happy with.

When I trade my 2010 Prius in a year or two, I will only consider vehicles with that feature. Maybe the next gen Prius (if there is one) will be out by then and have it but, knowing Toyota, I'm not counting on it. One non luxury brand that has memory seats available in many models is Mazda which has gone somewhat upscale. One vehicle that I will look at is the CX-30 which is Prius sized and gets good reviews but, of course doesn't get the fuel efficiency of a hybrid.

Agreed 110%. It seems to me to be a very minor thing to add if the car already has power seats (and mirrors). Of course there would be some cost with the added computer and switches, but I can’t imagine the added weight would be anything more than negligible since the motors are already there.

I am 6’2” and my wife is 5’1”, so there is quite a bit of seat and mirror adjustment for us when we change drivers, so this would be great for us.

This is one (of several) reasons I lust for the RAV4 Prime when it is available in my area, but I still have a hard time swallowing the huge jump in cost, since the rebates in Ontario suck now; comparing loaded models it is a ~$16k difference in cost (roughly $36k vs $52k)... :(. I am sure I will end up with the logical choice and stick with the Prius line since I don’t really ‘need’ an SUV...

She can turn it on and drive it. If I was your wife, I wouldn't be thrilled if you actually made this a point of contention. Pick your battles! :)

Of course, pick your battles. No battles. Just eye rolls, scoffs and condescendence.
Being more real, though, I think it would add to her enjoyment of driving the car if she learned its attributes.

Be careful! It might be like trying to convince a kid that ice cream tastes good. After a year of cajoling they finally try it and then they won't eat anything else.

I now joke with my husband about not knowing how to drive the car. We both don't know most of what it probably does. We have the Advanced. I just discovered the weather feature. It has never been out of eco mode in 155k miles, neither of us has pressed the drive mode, hv/ev, or ev auto mode. Apparently, this thing can park itself.

Ours can, too, but even I’ve been afraid to try that feature so far....

I’ve parallel parked once and backed in parked a half dozen times. All without incident. You have to resign yourself to the fact the car can do it. It doesn’t relieve the driver of responsibility. You need to closely monitor the prompts on the MID and apply the brakes when appropriate. All in all it is pretty neat. It also has the inverse function of pulling away from the curb to join traffic when parallel parked. You don’t need a car be kind you to use that feature. I like it because it does a better job of judging where the front of the car is. I’m too cautious I guess in that aspect. I’d backup first whereas the prime will just turn the wheels and pull forward if safe to do so.
