Slick 50 Oil Treatment on Prius

    Who is he ?
    And was that recommendation made before it was discovered that it can contribute to very rapid "sludge" formation ??
    If......it was a recent recommendation, I think you should find a new "expert" to put your faith into.

    Most "real" mechanics won't touch the stuff.

    Might be good for things like the chain drive on your garage door opener though.
    One quart should last about 30 years.

    It's amazing what "real mechanics" do and don't do. E.g., I was dissing Harbor Freight to someone the other day, and she told me that her husband is a mechanic and buys everything at HF.
