I realize this may be a tpic that has already been discussed in lenght and if so I appologize, but I am new to this annoyance and would love any advice anyone can toss my way.

I would love to find a way to make my MP3 files and folders that are on the CR-Rs I am burning for the car actually show all of the information (folder names and such), but it doesn't seem to be doing that.

Is there some specific format that I need to do to make this happen? Can it happen? Am I atupid?

You're not stupid. This HAS been discussed before, but I don't recall if it's been done here, in Prius Online, or at GreenHybrid...

You need to make sure you're using an MP3 encoder that writes the CD info to the MP3s. I use CDEX, which is free. Instead of listening to music MP3s, I generally listen to audiobooks, but both work the same. Make sure you name the folders correctly in Windows (you don't have to encode those in any way), and use the TITLE field to see the name of each MP3. You won't see the artist's name on the display, but if you stick the Gwen Stefani MP3s in a folder named "Gwen Stefani", you'll see the folder with her name and the title of each song, etc.
