My 78k 2007 Prius has an advisory notice after MOT (UK) as follows -

'Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement.' Front nearside and front offside.

Can anyone tell me where the worn items actually are and if replacing them is something I can do on my driveway.
    Thanks

Below the wheel hub you'll see a large triangle piece of metal called the lower control arm, connected by a ball joint to the bottom of the metal knuckle that holds the hub. The other two points of the triangle have bushings on the pins they rotate on. I have never done it myself, although I probably would if I needed new bushings. Oftentimes I think most would replace the whole LCA while they're replacing bushings. I believe it's relatively involved, possibly a few hours of work, but I haven't looked into it much. Look up "lower control arm bushings" on the forum and I'm sure you'll find a good write-up of how involved it is.

It's less than 50 bucks for a new control arm from RockAuto, so 100 bucks for both sides. Probably not worth the effort to do bushings by themselves. The MOOG brand arms are 42ish and the Delphi are 50ish.
