    Hi Experts

I have a 2012 Prius, bought it used. I noticed the air conditioning will only allow me to turn on after 10-15 seconds starting the car, regardless it's on Auto or Manual. Meaning to say, the system won't allow to press anything to start the air conditioner immediately after I start up the car. I thought this is a feature to "cool up" the air until i noticed 2 other Prius without the problem.

    Any idea?

    Thanks

    TT

Maybe low pressure in the A/C system that builds up after a few seconds? How long is it since you had the A/C checked? I think that would be the obvious thing to do.

that's the best part. Had the A/C system serviced by Toyota service center, but they didn't seem to notice that problem. One thing to note though, once it's turn on, i can turn off and immediately (even after 30 seconds) turn on without delay.

I will have the service center check it out again in my next service.

    Thanks.

Could be normal. I seem to recall something in owner's manual about this. I can recall similar behaviour, and more like a few minutes delay.
