Hi I been lurking here for awhile and had some private sales transactions but first time posting.

Recently, I have done some maintenance work with the nutzandboltz video and other youtubers. (Egr cooler and manifold coolant and inverter coolant replacement. After putting it back together, I got code p261c using Torque app.

I checked my fuse and there are like seven 10 amp fuse not lighting up on the tester. When I pull a couple to check, they are intact. I tried new fuse but still doesn't light up.

Based on the photo on the following link
Toyota Prius V (from 2013) - fuse box diagram - Auto Genius
Fuse #28,29,30,34,35,36,37 not lighting up. I checked 34&35 and there were intact

It is very difficult to remove the fuse and the clip tool that I got with the fuse doesn't work very well. I pull with my fingers.

The engine starts up but will shut down with hybrid system check light up after a minute or so. I look at the radiator fan and it is not moving. Is it supposed to move at engine first start? Checked the inverter coolant and just kind of jiggling not detecting any whirling. Also on the torque app, the coolant temp just keeps going up. I shut the engine at 125. Has this happened to anyone? My main concern is really the fuse are intact but doesn't light up.

I will probably go back and take everything apart and go through the steps this weekend. Sorry for the long post.

I'd check all the electrical connections and ensure they are tight;).

P261C I believe is for the engine water pump which is magnetically driven off of an electric field. So maybe this connection was not seated well:whistle:.

How many miles on your Prius? Our old 2010 I swapped the engine water pump at about 175k miles:).

    So something else to consider(y).

It is at 146k. Yeah I will have to take another look at all the connections. I also sprayed some connections cleaner before I put it back. I hope it didn't do anything harmful. I will consider replacing the water pump as a preventative maintenance. Thanks Raytheeagle.

@Blackcar - exact same thing happened to me today! What was the end result of your issue?

Sorry didn't check this post sooner. I just forgot to plug back the electrical connector for the waterpump at the time. I had the car on a jack for so long, I didn't remember it. Just had trace back the steps.

Further update, I saw my temp light flashed for a moment while on the freeway 10k miles after, and decided to replace the water pump... sure enough the old pump was failing at 155k.
