Was this for your 2007 gen2, or do you also have a newer high mileage prius plug in as well?

I don't know how much they would charge for something like that, but Leo & Sons Auto Repair - Lawrence, MA Auto Care Since 1975, specializes on hybrids. They have very competent hybrid techs. Highly recommended.

    For my Gen2 2007 - apr 250k miles
After buying a certified replacement Hymotion replacement pack, I noticed the car just didnt have the kick in the pants oomph I rememberd with the old pack, and the car wouldnt stay in EV mode with the same pedal pressure. I was assured by Hank at Sybesmas that the Hymotion was 100%, so with the age of the HV battery, im wondering if cell fatigue is "dulling" the ability of the in-parallel Hymotion pack to do its best job.

No P0800 code, but a good possibility?? I just dont know whether (or wherr in Southern New Englasn) to try to seek out someone with Torque, DrPrius, or Techstream for the best forensic on the battery modules...

Have you tried bypassing the Hymotion battery to see if the perceived "dulling" is similar when only driving on the OEM hv battery?

Since your vehicle contains a Hymotion kit, let me ping @ericbecky for additional advice or guidance.

You might consider buying a mini-vci cable for your tool kit, and then install techstream on a windows device or emulate if needed.

I think Id like to at least start by inspecting the module-conditions & resistances, as a baseline.

The Hymotion pack indeed has an on/off switch, and ive tried it both ways. I think the only way to know, is for someone who really knows Prius HV packs, and can let me know what the Techstream numbers might "mean" in terms of its effect on the paralleled plug-in pack in my 250k miles 2007

If the techstream curve is too much, consider picking up a OBD2 bluetooth adapter for use with Hybrid Assistant / Reporter apps.

Before purchasing the above, be sure to read up about the various options : Hybrid battery diagnostic and repair tool for Toyota and Lexus

If the HV battery is original OEM, now would be a good time to balance/recondition it before it fails. Have you considered such?

Help: 1) whats a techstream curve. 2) I honestly dont have the time or headspace to deal with ground-up learning about what bluetooth devices work with iOS, get bricked, are chinese knockoffs, yada yada, then learning the process, etc....
I honestly need someone in the northeast who is already a guru to come to me,or that i can drive to; knows the software, voltages, internal resistances under load, etc. -- I dont have the memory or retention for it - im maxed%

I just dont want to go to a random dealer that "has Techstream" - I was hoping for Hobbit or someone who knows their shit who can help me - and i will pay!

swing - if you haven't already and this sounds like a plan to you, I'd contact ericbecky
the first post of his I found concerning Hymotion Charging the 12v battery from Hymotion charge port | PriusChat

Eric is the ONLY guy I'm aware of that still tries to support Hymotion. He may know of others I'm not aware of.
    Click the link and call.
He may be able to walk you though to the next step(s)...

Feel free to call me to discuss the your car.
    608-729-4082.

Should not take too much to sort this out.

Given the unique nature of your setup it would be good for you to have your own diagnostic tools.

Cost you less than a single diagnostic inspection at the dealership. Even better is that you can check and record data anytime.

If you still need a shop, I recommend Bravo Automotive in Worcester, MA. A bit closer to Hartford than Lawrence. I bought my used 2005 privately from them and they replaced battery cells and corroded bus bars when I had P0A80 and P042x problems at around 135,000 miles, along with a few other probably age-related repairs. Hybrid battery still going strong at around 180,000 miles and still seeing average mileage in the low 50s spring through fall. The owner, George, does a lot of work on hybrids.
