Can anyone recommend a good independent mechanic in the Los Angeles area that specializes in Toyota Prius vehicles?

I have a 2010 Toyota Prius that needs to have the following items cleaned and/or replaced:

    EGR Cooler
    EGR
    Intake Manifold
    Throttle Body

Any suggestions would be appreciated since I am not the most mechanically inclined person to the job myself.

What problems are you having with your car to have those items listed addressed?

In Los Angeles area, there's Avi's hybrid shop. Hybridfix.com

I have a 2010 Prius with 150,000 miles, which is idling roughly whenever the hybrid battery is down to 1 to 2 bars. No current problems with MPG or trouble codes, but it recently began burning about 1qt. of oil every 5000 miles with no visible leaks. I suspect that there is a heavy amount of carbon build up, in addition to possibly a valve seal or piston rings that might be causing the oil consumption. At 100,000 miles I had a local dealership replaced all fluids (ie. ATF, Brake, Coolant) and replaced the PCV & spark plugs.

Before I get paranoid with thoughts of potential head gasket issues, I would like to rule out a couple of things such as cleaning out the EGR Cooler, EGR, Intake Manifold & Throttle Body.

I would just clean out the throttle body and it should fix your idling issue
