I bought a second hand prius about 5 weeks ago, it's been running fine.
Today the Hybrid System Indicator had a red dot next to it. Usually the dot is the same colour as the text.

I tried checking Dr Prius and Torque for any errors but scanning for errors on both yielded no errors logged.
(both were connecting ok, torque was showing guages and Dr Prius was showing battery state)

What does the indicator mean? Should I be concerned? Is it even worth taking to a mechanic if there's no errors logged?

I think that dot is always there, judging by pictures of the HSI on the internet, and that you just didn't notice it before. My car has it too.

Yes the dot is always there, but previously it was green (the same colour as the text). Today it was red. Why does it change colour?
