Hi all I just purchased a 2014 Prius C from the auctions with a very small damage fixed it up I’ve been driving it for three months now and there is extreme moldy medicine kind of a smell from the interior I don’t know what it is I have literally detailed every inch of the car remove the seats wash the seats wash the carpets that smell do not want to go away there is no signs of water on the headliner or anywhere else inside the car I have read numerous threads But found no help anyone here can help me with what should I look for that smell needs to go away. If I drive with the windows down for two minutes and roll the windows up the smell comes back in less than five minutes can anyone help me with this to diagnose the issue

I tried to sniff it out of vents but I can’t tell honestly as the smell is so bad all over the interior that it’s literally so hard to tell if it’s out of vents .
I have done extensive interior detail and inspection there is absolutely no water leaks inside the interior after we had a storm in Miami for last five days there’s not a sign of water inside so my best bet is it’s coming out of AC vents

try using a ozone generator in the car

May need to just keep doing it every now and then until the smell/mold/whatever goes away

*keep people, pets, plants away from it while ozone generator is being used
