    I did install an EV button in my '05 Prius. It was handy for moving the car out of the garage to wash it and stuff like that. But that's ALL it's good for. Not meant for actual driving. It sounds like @prius91 gave the traction battery a good workout and it's probably about due for replacement.

    I also put a CoastalTech EV button in my 04 Prius and get limited use out of it. It is nice when I just need to move the car out of the way without starting the ICE. I've also used it in parking lots just for fun, but it can't go very far before the ICE kicks in.
