    Hello.
So I bought some steel wheels with snow tyres on. The seller used them on his Prius before selling the car. I mounted them on my Prius yesterday and it only just occurred to me that they're not hub centric. The bolts take all the forces.
The steel wheels are bolt pattern 5x100 and another unknown bolt pattern, pretty generic.
What have you guys used in this situation?

Aftermarket wheels like that are not my first choice, but I do have one on my corolla. Works ok. (Have never heard of any properly torqued wheel- hub centric or not- breaking the lug studs off).

Uhm, I would never go for wheels that are not originally mend to fit the car. No problem with second hand wheels and tires at all, but the wheels should for as supposed. NEVER compromise on safety like using the incorrect stud pattern or oversized hub diameter. Bolts are calculated to a correct fit, if you over stress them, no one can assure you they will last. Imagine one snaps or gets loose along the way... Then there were 4 bolts...

For alloy wheels you can buy center rings to align the hub als create a tight fit for the hub. Not sure the exact word for the part but I think someone here knows it. Not sure if you can use these rings for steel wheels, just check your local auto store or garage. In NL they cost around $5 a piece.

So I would consider it once more if I were you
