Help unplug . . . a plug

    Haven't had to unplug that before, but recently had to unplug some passenger airbag connectors on a kia, where one of them had a safety lock that looked very similar to the one pictured above. You might try pulling on the green piece first, then depressing the clip.

    Maybe clean it first? I've not worked on that particular plug, but if I did I'd see if I could get any movement out of the green clip... Methinks the green part first has to be moved because it might prevent pressing in the orange tab that releases the plug.

    And as I didn't see it mentioned yet:

    That plug is orange, and the sheathing over the wires leading to it is orange.

    That color means "do not handle or fuss with this plug unless you have the service plug removed from the battery at the rear of the car, safely being carried in your personal pocket, and have waited the proper time for voltage to decay."

    It was a slide lock on the plug.

    I tested to make sure there wasn't still a charge and am elbow deep into swapping the inverter.

    Always a good call.

    Seeing how the cover was already removed from the inverter, we can only hope that the OP has done such.

    Yep, I had discharged the battery already.

    Almost done. Getting the windshield wiper cowl on after dinner. Partially taking longer cause I keep having to give my back a break. Have a protrusion between L4-L5.

    The inverter pump was working before I started, but I think I might put a new one on before filling the coolant back up. It would be another thing not to worry about for a long time.

    If you have a herniated L4L5 your out of your mind doing things
    Iike this. You could easily get permanent nerve damage no fix permanent.
