What sie tires did you go with? Did you notice a drop in mpg after rack or after rack and tires?

I put the rack one a couple days before I did the lift and tires. It was getting 41-43 mpg in eco mode stock. With the rack it was getting only like 39mpg but I didn’t drive it a lot. Then with the tires and lift and driving it in regular mode I get 36-37 mpg. I do have to note that it is now colder out. Right when I installed all of this stuff it got colder out. So I am getting a solid 36mpg right now. My combined driving for 5,000 miles this summer before all of the changes was 41.7 mpg.

Woah, I didn't realize roof racks made that much impact. That's even more than changing the tires. What roof rack is it?

No drop-in MPG with roof rack, when I put carbo box on top is when I think I will see a drop in mpg. I've been tracking my car with hybrid assistant for the last few months. it'll be nice to run an analysis on the last few months after I get the cargo box to see a trend of mpg changes.

Hybrid Assistant has a companion app called hybrid reporter... It will give you 20 pages of charts and graphs even on a 2 mile drive so I'd plan a driving route both with and without the roof storage and try to make each trip as identical as possible and you'll have a good sense of MPG change. We look forward to your results!

Installing now, I just wish there was a way to get more accurate fuel tank level and fuel usage... do I have to add something or modify to get accurate results? I want to know exactly how much fuel I have used and have left.

Lol, Prius didn't give you a gas gauge... It gave you a guess gauge... As in try to measure full vs. empty and everywhere in-between inside a water balloon and you'll get the sense of the engineering challenge that made them give up and no longer provide a rubber bladder inside the gas tank to reduce air pollution when you fill up your tank.

There is a precise way to measure the full. How much money and modification do you want spend and do?
The fuel gauge is accurate enough for normal situations.

You could always completely fill the tank to the top of the filler neck.
Carry 3 gallons of fuel in a safe container. Then drive it until you run out of fuel.
Noting the mileage for each bar when it changes.
Then when the low fuel warning light starts flashing.
Then when you get an error that the engine won't start, or it here it turning over and not starting.
Also, note your driving habit so you can repeat it each time.
Pour the 3 gallons of fuel in the filler neck. It will probably take a few attempt for the engine to start
because it will take a while for the fuel pump to pressurize the system.
It's more than close enough for me. I usually fill it at half way.

On second thought, don't do that. The evap emissions system is expensive and a PITA to replace.

On each fill up i reset my trip b, when my gas light finally comes on I just look at the consumption number and multiple that by 10 to know how many miles I can go.

I'm specifically talking about the hybrid assistant app and the way an app can read the remaining fuel level. The lowest I've seen hybrid assistant read is .53 gallons and have driven over 100 miles at that reading. Also would love to see my internal odometer number in the app so its tracked.
