Have you taken apart your plastic part in front of the fuse box inside car on driver's side?

Great chat everyone. I just followed your instructions on my 2005, that I recently purchased, and all of the functions you mentioned came back to life (radio, dome lights, fob, etc.). Thank you!

I have worked on over 100 Prius' installing reconditioned hybrid batteries, and now remember that many have had this issue, especially 2004s and 2005s. I actually thought that the fob had limited functionality in some models. This is a very common problem.

I'm actually having a bit of trouble following these instructions to get dome light, radio, SKS fob back. Any chance you could give me a summary of what steps i should take?

So far - I have checked dome fuse, it is good, but I get no voltage in the fuse's socket ( to ground).

This happened to me when I was trying to change the Dome light from the original halogen bulb to an LED.

I swapped out the 15 AMP "Dome" fuse with the spare and the problem was solved.

A BIG Thank You to Knightrider!!! Our Daughter's 2008 Prius suddenly had the same issue of Key Fob, Radio, Nav, Clock and VSC light steady on. I finally ordered inline fuse from Amazon and installed the other day to see if it would work on our daughters Prius before she returned from college. It did!!!! Our daughter was sooooo happy!!! Just wanted to let you know all YOUR hard work has made an 18 year old girl happy!! (and her parents) Thank you again!!

A quick warning that this issue may be water related, as others have noted. 196k ‘05 Prius here with no other electrical issues other than the combination meter I replaced about a year ago.

Went through an automatic car wash with rinse and blow dry and then immediately got gas afterwards. Upon restart after fueling this issue of all the names systems not working occurred. Luckily I went straight to PriusChat to find the answer, and even more luckily (so far) it was just a blown dome light fuse.

My guess is water dripped somewhere into the left footwell area during the car wash and shorted out this circuit. Hoping there was no wire damage and that the fuse did its job. Just a warning to be wary of automatic car washes and the damage water in the wrong places can do.
