Replace clear cover on tail light

The clear plastic cover that covers the tail light in my Gen 3 12/11 Prius fell off and was lost a while back. I need to replace it to get it to pass a safety check for re-registration. I’ve ordered an aftermarket tail light as it was the only way I could get the cover that appears to have been glued on.

Should I reinstall the new tail light or pry the cover of off it and just reglue it?

What glue should I use? Araldite Clear, Superglue or something else?

 

Yeah, I replaced the whole thing. It was a pain partially removing the bumper, trims, liners and rubber seal. I’m hopeless at this kind of stuff so wasn’t put back together perfect at all.
