Hi...I have borrowed a Optima Digital 1200 charger to charge my OEM Prius v battery.
The charge has 4 profiles for charging (see photo). I am not sure which profile to use. My battery is the 2014's original Toyota battery (see photo). Should I use profile 1, 2 or 3? I have tried to research this and am confused. Thanks Chart.jpg Thanks!

    I vote for profile 3.

The Optima 1200 can charge at 12 amps. Your battery doesn't like charging above 4 amps. If your battery is discharged it will see a higher charging current than the manufacturer's rating.

So what would you recommend? Not using this charger?

It is fine as a battery maintainer/desulfator and to charge the battery when it is not too discharged. I would use a lower capacity charger to get the battery up to about 80%. The smaller 400 model would be perfect for our low charging rate battery.

It's an automatic charger, so it's not going to push full power for the full duration of the charge cycle. It's going to taper off the amps as it approaches 85 - 90% charge (depending on their algorithm) If it were me, I'd put it on #3 for a couple of hours, then switch it to #4. But you can't go wrong with selecting #4, it just might take a little longer.

Your time likely would be better spent getting a new battery.
At 6+ years old, it is highly likely that it won't last much longer no matter what you do to it.

What "profile" you choose probably won't make a lick of practical difference.
    But I vote for 4.
