    It is for situations like this we carry insurance. Should be a no fault claim on your insurance. The biggest pain is the car being inthe shop for a week. Hopefully you can fins a better class of neighbors.....sorry.

    As a final note and answer to your question, yes some rental companies ask for a deposit. It's never seen on your credit card. You got away cheap. Enterprise in NJ asks $250 for a deposit.

    I just had my Prius fixed after it was rear ended. Enough damage to the bumper to get it replaced. The funny part was they charged the insurance company $325 for the new hitch. Same as the old hitch that I paid $119 plus shipping for.

    When I actually looked at what Gecio was charged the total was like $1200. I was like WHOA!!! Thank Goodness I had insurance. They charged for a mirror, labor, paint, emblem, and a few other things that I was like um, ok whatever. Geico was able to waive the $100 fee.

    I've been driving Prius's since 04 and driving a "regular" car was rough. It was very jerky driving and I was unused to having to dig out my keys before I got into the car. Everytime I got into the car I would toss the keys onto the passenger seat and look for the Power Button. I had to take one of my coworkers home and she saw me looking around the dash and she says "Um, what're you doing?" I said looking for the Power Button. I thought she was gonna jump out!! LOL :)
