While replacing a couple bad modules I broke the leads of the last temp sensor from the clip. Any suggestions on how to repair this for normal operation? Other than buying a new harness? I found an older thread where the poster used a splice, but it wasn’t very clear about how he did it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Anybody who rebuilds packs has lots of these lying around... Someone on here will probably mail you a spare one for free or a tiny fee...

Thanks for the reply! There is a harness on EBay for $80 but that seems pretty high. I’m installing a new battery from “newpriusbatteries”, so I have lots of things to trade including 4 new modules and 24 that still test good from a 2006 with 158k miles.

@TMR-JWAP lives near you and has offered to mail these to people for free or even a small fee on here before. I'd be offering to do that for you right now but I just organized all my spare parts and am down to my last spare of those because some of the spares I had turned out to be damaged and had to be thrown away.

    Paging @TMR-JWAP

Let me know if you have a sensor/harness that you’d be willing to sell. Thanks!

Order Temp Sensor off ebay or Amazon. Just have to make sure the model number is correct. This is how i repaired mine. Easy fix. Temp resistors don't have a positive or negative, you can install it either way. I stripped the remaining heat shrink off the ends of the broken temp sensor/resistor and used the 2 firm ends to plug into the adapter plug that came with the new sensor. Wrapped in around on itself, secured tape and folded the extra length of wire and taped both back into the end of the HV battery. I used a pair of forceps to keep the wires from pulling back in the battery housing while i was working on it. The sensor will look different depending on where you buy it. But as long as the model number is correct, it will work fine.

    Harness on ebay $150 :/

    Temp Sensor/Resistor on Amazon or ebay: 1-4 $10-$15 xD IMG_20211220_163216.jpg IMG_20211220_163205.jpg

Feeling of doing it yourself and a fixed car: Priceless*

This is the one I used: Waterproof Temperature Sensor Temp Probe Thermistor NTC 10K B3950. Any 'NTC 10K B3950' Temp Sensor will do the trick as long as it matches that.
