Anyone try these? Or get them pre-installed as an option from Toyota? Three different designs and assuming the LEDs are powered by tapping into the wiring of the front lower door lights?

$175+ a pair, assuming it’s just the front two and no rears. Attached pics above

I asked my dealer about having these installed. They told me $425, so I passed,

I wanted them but didn't want to pay $500 eather. When I went to the dealer they traded a car for my prime from another dealership and it just so happened that my prime had them already installed. Dealer didn't even add them to the invoice so they were basically bought and installed for free. :D

how do they look? Would it be worth it to have them installed? I wouldn't pay $425 but I would consider paying maybe up to half that amount

Don't mean to sound negative, but I look at this and say WHY?

I don’t know ^ I’d say why not. It probably looks cool at night. Why not paint all cars flat brown, or make them all have the same color interior ————- variety

Everyone has different tastes. My preference is less, rather than more chrome. When I had the Mazda MX-5 that I traded for the Prime, I removed the rear chrome badges and felt it improved the looks.

Shinny chrome looks very nice when new. The problem is that on the door sill, they get easily scuffed and scratched. I prefer cheap sticker type protectors that are removable and replaceable. Case in point, our 5 years old Pathfinder has a non-illuminated door sill plate, no longer looking so nice.

I know if you do some digging, there are a TON of "Japan only" accessories for the Prime and normal Prius. About 80% of those come in chrome also. They got chrome cupholders, door handles, accents that go around the power window switches, exterior mirrors, etc.
