compatibility years for Nav/Head unit

    HELP! I am attempting to replace my head unit with a similar used one. I have been researching relentlessly to get an answer on year compatibility and every listing gives a different range: 2004-2006, 2004-2008, and on and on. My mechanic has a 2008 head unit, but I can not find anything that tells me for certain that the 2008 unit is compatible with the 2006 prius.
